Dynamic Range

I was surprised to see that an HDR was not necessary to capture details throughout the tonal range of this scene when storm clouds at sunset provided a colorful sky over the very colorful Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum. Nikon has certainly done a great job with the sensor in the D4. Now, if only the rest of the camera was as robust.

Nice job. I’ve been to the Chihuly exhibit several times (and taken a hundred photos) – it really is something special. Love the HDR in yours – not enough to make it look unreal. Great catch with the sunset.

    Thanks for sharing.

Bill, sorry to disappoint. This is not an HDR.
It is a single image processed in Adobe Camera Raw only.
That is what the wide dynamic range allowed me to capture!
