Florida Birding

During the winter months many avian species come down to Florida to escape the harsh winters up North. This Sunday I took the opportunity to take in the Everglades and came home with some wonderful images.

Anyone with an interest in birds needs to make the trek to the Everglades at least once in a lifetime. It is surprising to see how timid these birds are. They are up close and can be observed with either the naked eye or a small pair of binoculars.

Photographers can get away with a lightweight 70-300mm handheld system. A 1.4 teleconverter could come in handy from time to time!
